Transfer gossip: QPR and Fulham linked with winger

Some of the recent transfer speculation involving our area’s Championship clubs.

QPR and Fulham have again been linked with Hartlepool winger Nathan Thomas.

The Sun claim both west London clubs have been monitoring the 22-year-old along with Wolves.

It comes after reports Middlesbrough and Sheffield United have each had a £300,000 bid for the player accepted.

Rangers and Fulham were linked him last year too but did not show any concrete interest.

Sky claim QPR want Thompson

QPR are among a number of clubs interested in Swindon captain Nathan Thompson, it is claimed.

Thompson’s contract expires this summer and he will be available on a Bosman free transfer if he does not sign a new deal at the County Ground.

Sky Sports News HQ believe the 26-year-old defender will move on and claim the clubs keen on him include QPR.

Ipswich, Charlton, Rotherham and Portsmouth are also said to be interested in him.

Thompson has been with Swindon his entire career and has made 167 league appearances for the Robins.

Manning attracting interest, Mirror reckon

Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are supposedly interested in QPR midfielder Ryan Manning.

The Mirror recently claimed both Premier League clubs have made enquiries about the young Irishman.

Manning, QPR’s young player of the year, recently signed a new contract at Loftus Road.

The Mirror declared that Palace and Bournemouth are “poised to test Rangers’ resolve to hang onto Manning” this summer.
