Transfer gossip: Chelsea tracking Winston Bogarde’s nephew, Observer say

Some of the transfer speculation involving Chelsea in Sunday’s newspapers.

The Observer say Chelsea are among English clubs interested in Melayro Bogarde, the 15-year-old nephew of former Blues defender Winston Bogarde.

The Netherlands youth international is currently with Feyenoord and is said to have attracted the attention of several top European clubs.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are also eyeing the defender, the Observer say.

Speculation over Matic

Manchester United will look to complete the £40m signing of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea this week, the Mail on Sunday say.

United’s former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is said to be determined to take the Serbian midfielder to Old Trafford.

Blues boss Antonio Conte reportedly wants to sign another midfielder before Matic is allowed to move on.

The Sunday Mirror, on the other hand, say Mourinho is frustrated at United’s apparent reluctance to pay the £40m Chelsea reportedly want for Matic.

And The Sun on Sunday reckon the price for Matic is £50m and that the deal is being held up by a dispute between the two clubs over bonus payments to Chelsea based on United’s success and how many appearances Matic makes for them.

Celtic prospect linked again

Chelsea have again been linked with Celtic’s much-hyped teenager Karamoko Dembele.

The Sun on Sunday say the Blues have begun moves to snap up the 14-year-old, who signed a new contract in June.
