Fulham need a victory but Chelsea ought to have too much for them

Only one place to start with and that’s Fulham, where Felix Magath will be desperate to get a first win as manager when they face Chelsea in an important derby for both sides.charlie-mcCann_Aff

Chelsea are 1/2 to take all three points with Fulham 7s and the draw 7/2. The Whites obviously need to start picking up maximum points at Craven Cottage, although that might be asking too much this weekend.

The Blues have only lost one of their last 25 games against their neighbours and you have to go back to March 2006 for their last defeat against Fulham.

Chelsea, who drew with Galatasaray in the Champions League this week, are 1/6 to qualify for the next round and 14/1 to lift the trophy in Lisbon in May, although they will surely have to improve when you think how impressive Bayern (2s), Barcelona (7/2) and Real Madrid (4/1) have been in the last fortnight.

Chelsea’s goal against Everton last weekend was one for Miss Marple and we ended up paying out on John Terry, Frank Lampard and no goalscorer for the first goal!

The injury-time winner couldn’t mask a poor performance from Jose Mourinho’s side, but three points are all that matter when chasing titles.

Chelsea remain 6/4 for the title with Manchester City 5/4 favourites, Liverpool 7s and Arsenal 8s.

With City at Wembley for the Capital One Cup final on Sunday and both Liverpool (Southampton) and Arsenal (Stoke) also on the road, this is another big weekend at both ends of the table.

Fulham are 1/3 for the drop and you’d have to think even at this stage of the season that they cannot afford to lose at Cardiff next weekend. The Welsh side are currently 3/10 to be back playing Championship football next term and the decision to replace Malky Mackay with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can hardly be described as inspired.

Darren Bent has scored four in his last six games against Chelsea and is 10/1 to score the opening goal and 4/1 to find the back of the net at anytime.

Samuel Eto’o was more effective when trying to referee than play against Everton last weekend and he has much to prove against Fulham.

The striker is 19/4 to score the opening goal with Eden Hazard 13/2 and Lampard 15/2 – the same price as Oscar.
