Tottenham linked with Salah, plus speculation over duo’s future

A round-up of today’s transfer speculation involving Chelsea….

Tottenham have again been linked with Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah.

ESPN suggests Spurs will bid £10m for the 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Fiorentina.

Following the Blues’ Premier League title triumph, there is speculation over the futures of Didier Drogba and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Drogba, who is out of contract in the summer, refused to deny he would leave the club, saying: “With me or without me, Chelsea will always be number one. I’m happy that I’m part of this but Chelsea is bigger than me.”

And Courtois, responding to reports he was interested in joining Real Madrid, told a Spanish radio station: “I signed a four-year contract and I’m fine here.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea are being linked with a possible move for Juventus and Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

Reports in Spain suggest the 35-year-old will leave Juve in the summer and Metro claims the Blues would be interested in bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

The champions are also once again linked with summer moves for Edinson Cavani, Nathaniel Clyne and Antoine Griezmann.

The Daily Star claims boss Jose Mourinho will have to pay at least £55m for Paris St-Germain striker Cavani and Southampton full-back Clyne.

However, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is quoted as saying Cavani is “the future of the club”, while the Star believes Southampton will resist efforts from Chelsea and Manchester United to sign England right-back Clyne.

Meanwhile, reports in France suggest Chelsea are happy to pay a 60 million euros (£44m) buy-out clause for Atletico Madrid forward Griezmann.

And Juventus director Beppe Marotta has reportedly said midfielder Paul Pogba is not for sale.

The Express claims this is bad news for Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, which it said all had hopes of signing the Frenchman.
