QPR’s Green among several keepers linked with potential move to Chelsea

Rob Green is among the goalkeepers Chelsea are considering as a possible replacement for Petr Cech, the Daily Telegraph say.

There has been speculation about Cech’s future since he lost his place to Thibaut Courtois and he has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Green, 35, is under contract at QPR until 2016 and is one of several keepers Chelsea are said to have identified as a potential signing as back-up for Courtois.

The others are 44-year-old Tottenham keeper Brad Friedel, Celtic’s Craig Gordon, Aston Villa’s Shay Given and John Ruddy of Norwich City.

Meanwhile, the Daily Express claim Chelsea are interested in Bayer Leverkusen star Karim Bellarabi.

It is claimed that Manchester United are looking to beat the Blues, Arsenal and Liverpool to the signing of the 24-year-old, who reportedly has an £11m release clause in his contract.
