Newcastle linked with Chelsea keeper – and Blues are linked with Sissoko

Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer is being lined up for a loan move to Newcastle, reports claim.

Alan Pardew’s side had to bring on 21-year-old rookie Jak Alnwick at half-time in Saturday’s win over the Blues after second-choice keeper Rob Elliot came off injured.

And The Sun suggests Newcastle want permission to sign Schwarzer, who has slipped down to third in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, on an emergency loan.

Meanwhile, Portuguese newspaper Record has claimed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho may be in the market for the Magpies’ midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Other reports in Portugal say the Blues sent scouts to Benfica’s victory over Belenenses at the weekend to monitor forward Anderson Talisca.

And TalkSport says the 20-year-old, who has nine goals in 17 appearances since joining Benfica in the summer, could be allowed to move on in January.

QPR’s Nedum Onuoha has backed free-scoring team-mate Charlie Austin to stay at Loftus Road.

Austin’s record of eight goals in 14 Premier League games has seen him linked with other clubs, but Onuoha told the Evening Standard: “I don’t think Charlie is the type of person that would want to leave if things didn’t go well because he’s liked being at QPR so much.

“It’s an enjoyable place to be. I don’t see many people breaking their necks to get away, whether we’re doing well or badly.”

And Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie has revealed he could have ended up playing for QPR when Neil Warnock was in charge at Loftus Road.

Bolasie is now playing under Warnock at Selhurst Park, but he told the Croydon Advertiser that Rangers were close to signing him when he was at Bristol City.
