Ivanovic linked with Bayern, Boro tipped to target Blues prospect

Bayern Munich are plotting a summer move for Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, the Daily Star claims.

The 31-year-old has been at Stamford Bridge since January 2008 and his current deal expires at the end of next season.

Chelsea would normally only offer a 12-month extension to over-30s but the Star suggests they are preparing to offer the Serb a three-year contract worth £90,000-a-week to keep him at the club.

German newspaper Bild suggested last month that Ivanovic was a target for Bayern.

Eden Hazard, linked yesterday with a move to Real Madrid, has apparently told friends he will not be leaving Chelsea.

The Daily Telegraph and the Daily Express both report that Hazard would reject any approaches from the Spanish giants.

West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell, rumoured to be a target for both Chelsea and Manchester City, is happy to remain at Upton Park, the Daily Star reports.

It quotes the left-back as saying: “It’s nice to see things like being linked with Man City and Chelsea but I have four years left on my West Ham contract and I’m very happy here.”

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has also played down the reports as “pure rumour and speculation”.

The Sun, meanwhile, claims that Middlesbrough will use their good relationship with Chelsea to try and sign Nathan Ake next season.

The Dutch youngster has returned to Stamford Bridge after a loan spell at Reading and Boro boss Aitor Karanka – who has signed four Blues players on loan this season – is said to be an admirer of the 20-year-old.
