Chelsea linked with 15-year-old Crystal Palace prospect Flanagan

A round-up of today’s transfer speculation involving Chelsea….

Chelsea have joined Arsenal and Manchester United in declaring an interest in Crystal Palace schoolboy Kian Flanagan, the Evening Standard say.

The 15-year-old playmaker only made his debut for Palace’s academy last month but has already broken into their development squad, featuring against Colchester on Wednesday.

The Standard suggests clubs would have to pay Palace £100,000 to sign Flanagan, who is in the middle of a two-year deal at Selhurst Park.

The Daily Mail claims Chelsea have made an offer for an even younger player – 11-year-old Charlie Patino.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also said to be interested in signing up the Luton Town academy midfielder, with compensation apparently set at £10,000.

The Portuguese media believe Atletico Paranaense forward Nathan, 19, will complete his drawn-out move to Chelsea soon, after rejecting an offer from FC Porto.

There is further speculation about Chelsea’s more senior players.

The Daily Mirror and the Daily Star both claim Arsenal and Paris St-Germain are in a straight fight for goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Liverpool, Roma and Real Madrid were all linked with the 32-year-old, who apparently may favour a move to the Gunners so he and his family can stay in London.

And reports in Italy and Brazil claim that Inter Milan are considering a move for Blues left-back Filipe Luis, who has also been linked with a return to former club Atletico Madrid.
