Chelsea among English clubs linked with Lazio star Felipe Anderson

Chelsea are among four Premier League clubs monitoring Lazio playmaker Felipe Anderson, reports in Italy claim.

Scouts from Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool were supposedly in Rome on Monday night to watch the 21-year-old during his side’s 4-0 win over Fiorentina.

The Brazilian youth international moved to Italy from Santos in June 2013 and has scored eight goals in 43 appearances for Lazio.

Other reports suggested Chelsea and United were also keeping an eye on Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic, who has been linked with a move back to England following his spell at Manchester City.

Meanwhile, The Sun believes Andreas Christensen will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on loan.

Christensen has been watched by a number of clubs
There has been speculation over Christensen’s short-term future.

However, it claims any Championship club interested in the 18-year-old defender will have to cover his reported £22,000-a-week wages.

Christensen, a Denmark Under-21 international, has played twice for the Chelsea first team in cup competitions this season, against Shrewsbury and Bradford.

The Daily Express continues to link Chelsea with a move for Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane.

It picks up on reports in Spain which claim Blues boss Jose Mourinho has personally asked Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to pay £40m for the Frenchman, but also says Manchester United are interested as well.

The Express also quotes Paris St-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti as saying he is not interested in leaving the Ligue 1 side, and claims this is bad news for supposed suitors Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
