Chelsea linked with Besiktas star
Chelsea are interested in re-signing Besiktas winger Gökhan Töre, reports in Turkey claim.
Manchester United and Tottenham are among a host of European clubs previously linked with the 23-year-old, who spent two years at Stamford Bridge before leaving in 2011 without making a first-team appearance.
Turkish newspaper Bugün has reported that there is plenty of interest in Töre but that he is likely to stay with Besiktas.
Chelsea are also looking to sign highly-rated Brazilian youngster Kenedy from Fluminense, as are Manchester United, the Daily Star reports.
Ex-Chelsea man Deco is reported to be acting as the player’s agent and Eduardo Alves, a Brazilian scout, has been quoted as saying: “There was a contact with Chelsea, through Deco, now his agent. It was a timid approach, not a formal offer.”
Meanwhile, the Evening Standard say Chelsea will offer Filipe Luis to Atletico Madrid in exchange for midfielder Koke.
It follows recent reports that Atletico, who sold Luis to the Blues last year, are keen to buy him back.
Wales manager Chris Coleman has suggested that Gareth Bale would be wrong to join Chelsea from Real Madrid.
There has been speculation linking the former Tottenham star with a return to the Premier League after a tough few months in Spain.
Coleman told Wales Online the 25-year-old should “stay where he is”.
“Chelsea are a huge club and have been successful, as are Manchester United, but Real Madrid is Real Madrid,” Coleman added.
“He’s good enough to win the big trophies, play on the big stage and play with the biggest club.
“Knowing Gareth, I’d be really surprised if he said ‘I’ve had enough, I’m not accepting that and I’m coming home.’”
The Express continue to link Paul Pogba with a possible move to SW6.
His agent Mino Raiola has reacted to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti dismissing reports he was keen to sign the Juventus midfielder.
This is said to be a boost for Chelsea as well as Manchester United, who have also been linked with player.
“Ancelotti isn’t interested in Pogba? That’s perfect! If this is the case, we are not interested in Real either,” Raiola told French newspaper L’Equipe.
Douglas Costa is another player Chelsea are said to be keen on, with the Daily Mail reporting that Shakhtar Donetsk are ready to sell the Brazilian.
And reports in Spain suggest Real midfielder Jese Rodriguez, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, could leave in the summer.
