Bolton and Cardiff City linked with Chelsea youngster Feruz

Bolton and Cardiff City are competing to sign Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz on loan, the Daily Mail say.

Feruz is highly rated at Stamford Bridge but it is claimed that Chelsea’s determination to keep him could be tested.

Meanwhile, the Express continue to suggest that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira.

Horst Heldt, sporting executive of Schalke, is reported to have indicated that his club are interested in signing the Germany midfielder, who played under Mourinho at Real.

This has apparently ‘rocked’ Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, with the Express claiming that all three clubs are looking to sign him.

Heldt is quoted as saying: “Of course, Sami Khedira would look good with Schalke. And we’d certainly take him if he were on the market.

“But let’s not get carried away. There are many clubs who can imagine working with Sami.”

And Southampton want to sign QPR striker Charlie Austin in the summer, Goal.com say.

It is claimed that the Saints have identified Austin has a potential replacement for Jay Rodriguez.

Following comments by QPR director of football Les Ferdinand that the club could lose the player if they are relegated, the Evening Standard claim Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in Austin.
