Chelsea set to sign young PSV winger Bakkali, report claims

Chelsea are set to sign winger Zakaria Bakkali from PSV Eindhoven, the Express say.

It is claimed that the Blues have seen off competition from Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona.

Chelsea are said to be planning to sign the 18-year-old in January and then allow him to return to the Netherlands on loan.

The Express have also touted Chelsea star Eden Hazard as a possible replacement for Gareth Bale at Real Madrid.

It is claimed that Real are to step up their apparent interest in Hazard because they are preparing for Bale to leave.

There has been speculation about the former Tottenham man’s future, with Manchester United reported to be keen to bring him back to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, the Evening Standard reckon Jermain Defoe is set to be paid £90,000 a week at QPR.

Rangers expect to sign the former Tottenham striker in January, having been unable to negotiate his release during the last transfer window because FC Toronto wanted him to be available for the Major League Soccer play-offs.

The 32-year-old, who played under QPR boss Harry Redknapp at Spurs and Portsmouth, will be given a three-year contract at Loftus Road, the Standard say.
