Bees linked with Villa prospect

Brentford are among a clutch of Championship clubs being linked with a loan deal for Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish.

The 19-year-old is highly-rated at Villa Park and signed a new four-year deal in October, but is yet to start a Premier League game, having come off the bench nine times.

The Birmingham Mail believes the Bees and league rivals Wolves, Ipswich and Nottingham Forest are all interested in signing the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.

Reports in Serbia, picked up by the Daily Mail, suggest Chelsea have had an offer accepted for 18-year-old Partizan Belgrade midfielder Danilo Pantic.

The Mail claims the Blues have had scouts watch the Serbia Under-19 international regularly over the past two months and have made their move after Juventus also showed an interest.

There is yet further speculation on the future of Paul Pogba, who has previously been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City.

The Daily Star suggests quotes from Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, ruling out a move for the Frenchman, will be good news for the Blues, but Talksport picks up reports from Italy saying Juventus have no interest in selling.

Meanwhile, centre-back Raphael Varane has told the Spanish media he is ‘100 per cent’ happy at Real Madrid, which the Daily Express believes will scupper a potential reunion with Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
