QPR targeting Sandro and Chelsea in talks with Destro, reports say

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is in talks with his former club Tottenham over a big-money move for Sandro, according to the Daily Mirror.

It comes after Redknapp remarked following Rangers’ recent 4-0 defeat against Spurs that he would like to be able to call upon players like Andros Townsend and Sandro, who were left out for the game at White Hart Lane.

Redknapp is keen to sign at least one midfielder and Sandro, 25, is one of a host of players he has been linked with.

It is suggested that QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has sanctioned a deal for the injury-plagued Brazilian and that Redknapp believes the move can happen because Spurs look likely to buy Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton.

Several newspapers believe Chelsea are looking to sign Loic Remy from QPR as a replacement for Fernando Torres.

But the Daily Express say Chelsea have opened talks with Roma striker Mattia Destro, who is apparently rated at £20m.

The Blues have agreed a two-year loan deal with AC Milan for Torres and the Express say he has waived a pay-off in order for the move to happen.
