QPR tipped to sign Ferdinand if they go up, plus latest Remy speculation

QPR will sign Rio Ferdinand if they win promotion via the play-offs, the Sunday People say.

The former England defender’s Manchester United contract expires at the end of the season and he has been tipped to leave Old Trafford.

And it is claimed that R’s boss Harry Redknapp, who previously managed Ferdinand at West Ham, will seal a deal to take him to Loftus Road if promotion back to the Premier League is achieved.

Ferdinand, 35, was on the books at QPR as a youngster before being snapped up by West Ham.

Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday say Redknapp could quit regardless of whether his team go up.

And there is more speculation about the future of Loic Remy.

It is suggested in the Mail that the France striker, currently on loan at Newcastle from QPR, may leave England and move to Paris St-Germain or Monaco.

Newcastle would like to sign him permanently, while Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with Remy, but it is claimed he could reject all three clubs.
