QPR said to be battling to sign Konko, Blues again linked with Thauvin

Following a report in the Italian media on Monday that QPR and West Ham want Abdoulay Konko, the Daily Mirror say the two clubs are battling to sign the Lazio defender.

Konko, 30, is out of favour and is hoping to move to England when the transfer window reopens in January.

Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is in the market for a right-back to replace summer signing Mauricio Isla, it is claimed.

Meanwhile, Juventus are looking to beat Chelsea to the signing of Marseille midfielder Florian Thauvin, according to the Daily Star.

Thauvin, 21, is said to be a target for a number of clubs and it is claimed that the Blues are interested along with Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal.

Another player Chelsea have been consistently linked with is Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira, who played under Blues boss Jose Mourinho at the Spanish club.

And the Daily Express say Chelsea have moved ahead of Arsenal in a race to sign the German after Real apparently made an approach for keeper Petr Cech and paved the way for an exchange deal.
