Old boys will be gunning for Chelsea and QPR need something

With Diego Costa injured I wonder if the footballing gods have already written the script for this weekend’s mouth-watering clash between Everton and Chelsea, with Jose Mourinho coming face to face with not one but two of his former strikers in Romelu Lukaku and Samuel Eto’o.charlie-mcCann_Aff

Chelsea are out to 6/5 at BetVictor to maintain their 100% start to the season, with the Toffees 5/2 and the draw at 12/5.

Everton have an excellent recent record against Chelsea at Goodison but this class of 2014/15 look a vintage crop – although I wonder if the Blues boss would settle for a point now?

Didier Drogba is 13/2 to score the opening goal with Andre Schurrle 9s and 16/5 to find the back of the net at any time during the 90 minutes.

Chelsea are now 6/5 to wrestle back the title from Manchester City (6/4 and 9s bar) in what looks to be developing, certainly as far as the bookmakers are concerned, into a two-horse race.

QPR are 6/4 for the drop after their hiding at White Hart Lane on Sunday and the mood at the club couldn’t have been improved after the Capital One Cup loss to Burton Albion in midweek.

Rangers are 29/20 to beat Sunderland at Loftus Road this weekend with the Black Cats 9/4 and the draw at 11/5.

The R’s have failed to hit the back of the net so far this season. Loic Remy has scored their last three Premier League goals – the last was back in May 2013!

Loic Remy of QPR
Can Remy end QPR’s wait for a goal this season?

Remy is 9/4 to be the club’s top league goalscorer behind 11/8 Charlie Austin and you feel this is a game the Hoops must get something from.

Remy is 5/1 to score the opener at the weekend with Austin 11/2.
