Transfer gossip: QPR tipped to sign Millwall winger

QPR will sign Millwall winger Fred Onyedinma at the end of the season, reports claim.

The Hull Daily Mail have picked up on reports that the R’s are set to beat Hull and Watford to the signing of the 20-year-old.

Onyedinma’s Lions contract expires this summer, although his age means Millwall would be entitled to compensation if he leaves and a fee cannot be agreed.

Smithies linked with Bournemouth

The Sun on Sunday have claimed that Bournemouth are interested in QPR goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

The south-coast club have been tipped to move for Asmir Begovic this summer, having been unable to complete a deal to sign the Chelsea keeper during the January transfer window.

Cherries boss Eddie Howe is said to be keeping a close eye on Smithies in case he is again unable to land Begovic.

Smithies, who recently signed a new contract at Loftus Road, was previously reported to be a target for Aston Villa although no approach for him was made.
