City looking to beat Chelsea to the signing of Barca prospect – report

Manchester City are reportedly set to gazump Chelsea and Liverpool in the pursuit of Lee Seung-woo, a South Korean teenager currently with Barcelona.

It is suggested in the Mail on Sunday that Chelsea are interested in the 15-year-old, who has so far not signed a professional contract at Barca, but that City are willing to pay over the odds for him.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Express claim Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho wants to offload Romelu Lukaku for £17m this summer but is reluctant to sell him to an English club.

Borussia Dortmund and Roma are said to be interested in the 20-year-old striker, who is currently on loan at Everton.

Keeper Thibaut Courtois, on loan at Atletico Madrid, will be at Chelsea next season and is set to be offered a new five-year contract, the Sunday Mirror say.

Monaco have joined Real Madrid and New York Red Bulls in a battle to sign Ashley Cole when his Chelsea contract expires at the end of the campaign, according to the Sunday People.

The People also say Chelsea will send striker Patrick Bamford, who has impressed at Derby, back out on loan next season.

And Samuel Eto’o is set to quit Chelsea this summer as he is angry that Mourinho recently joked about his age, according to The Sun on Sunday.

Eto’o is tipped to return to his former club Real Mallorca.
