There is speculation over youngster Nathan Ake’s future at Chelsea in light of the club’s pursuit of Everton defender John Stones.

Watford, Newcastle and Leicester want to sign Ake on loan, according to the Mail on Sunday.

It is suggested that Premier League newcomers Watford see him as an alternative to Tottenham’s Benjamin Stambouli, who has reportedly stalled over a potential move to Vicarage Road.

The Mail also say Leicester, now managed by former Blues boss Claudio Ranieri, have asked to take Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu on loan and that Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford could be targeted by Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to be widely tipped to make Everton another offer for Stones after having an initial bid rejected.

And reports in Italy suggest Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah is on the verge of completing his proposed move to Roma.
