Blues again linked with Austin and Wolves are tipped to snub Fulham bid

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea, QPR and Fulham…

There continues to be speculation over the future of Charlie Austin, with Chelsea again touted as the favourites to sign him.

QPR have not had any offers or approaches for the striker despite numerous reports they have received both.

Several clubs have been linked with Austin, including Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham, Southampton and West Ham.

Southampton were said to have tabled a £10m bid but indicated they had no interest, while the Magpies were widely tipped to buy him but no move has materialised.

And the Express have now suggested that Chelsea are now in pole position to sign him after a website claimed Newcastle have made a bid to sign Mario Balotelli on loan from Liverpool.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has blocked Loic Remy’s exit from Chelsea, the Daily Mirror say.

Crystal Palace, Swansea and West Ham are all said to have expressed an interest in the striker.

It was recently reported that Chelsea, who are set to bring in Radamel Falcao, would be willing to sell Remy for £15m.

Now it is claimed that the club have performed a U-turn and Remy is not for sale.

The Sun reports that Chelsea have told Atletico Madrid they will need to pay £14m for Filipe Luis if they want to re-sign the left-back.

There continues to be speculation in the Italian media over the futures of Chelsea duo Juan Cuadrado and Mohamed Salah.

The latter is reported to have held talks with Fiorentina, where he was on loan last season, with Inter Milan and Juventus said to be interested as well. Juve have also been linked with Cuadrado.

The Daily Star, picking up on comments made by an Italian journalist, say Cuadrado’s agent will hold talks with Chelsea to discuss the player’s future.

Meanwhile, Midlands newspaper the Express & Star reports that Wolves are set to reject a £1.25m bid from Fulham for midfielder Kevin McDonald.
