Transfer gossip: Speculation over the futures of Cahill, Remy and Hazard

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Gary Cahill is considering his Chelsea future after recently losing his first-team place, according to The Telegraph.

Cahill is said to have told friends he believes his England prospects would be enhanced if he moved.

The 30-year-old signed a new four-year contract at the club last month.

Speculation over Cahill’s future comes as Chelsea are reported to have made a £3.5m bid for 20-year-old New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga.

Meanwhile, Leicester have reportedly had a bid for Loic Remy rejected  by Chelsea.

The Evening Standard say the Foxes offered £7.6m for the striker. It comes after reports in his native France that Leicester are one of the clubs chasing him.

Newcastle have also been tipped to move for Remy – and the Daily Mail say Chelsea have told the Magpies he would cost £12m.

Remy previously spent a season on loan at St James’ Park and was recently tipped to return there for another loan spell.

There continues to be speculation in the Spanish media that Antoine Griezmann could leave Atletico Madrid for Stamford Bridge.

And the Blues have lined up Robin van Persie as a possible signing if they do not complete a loan deal for Alexandre Pato, the Express claim.
