Chelsea among Premier League clubs linked with Barca winger Pedro

A round-up of today’s transfer speculation involving Chelsea….

Spanish media have claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing Barcelona winger Pedro.

The 27-year-old has only started 13 La Liga games this season and has reportedly said he will consider his future at the Nou Camp in the summer.

Pedro is said to have been a target for Arsenal before they signed Alexis Sanchez, while it is claimed Liverpool and Manchester United are also monitoring him.

Meanwhile, speculation linking John Mikel Obi with a move to Southampton as part of a deal to bring Morgan Schneiderlin to Stamford Bridge are untrue, according to reports in his native Nigeria.

A source said to be close to the player is quoted as saying Mikel, who has more than two years to run on his current deal, is happy at Chelsea.

Chelsea and Liverpool have again been linked with a move for Radamel Falcao.

The Daily Star, picking up on reports in Spain, claims the Colombian striker will be targeted by both clubs when his loan spell at Manchester United expires in the summer.

He has scored four goals in 25 appearances for United since joining from Monaco last summer.

Talksport say Chelsea and Tottenham will be interested in news from France which suggests Marseille winger Florian Thauvin could be sold in the summer.

There is more speculation over Petr Cech’s future, with the Star claiming Liverpool may have found another transfer target instead.

It picks up on reports in Portugal which suggest the Reds want Sporting Lisbon’s Rui Patricio as back-up for Simon Mignolet, and the Star believes this will pave the way for Arsenal to sign Cech.

And Talksport claims Chelsea may miss out on two players they have been heavily linked with in the past.

Roma striker Mattia Destro, currently on loan at AC Milan, is said to be interesting Fiorentina, while Inter Milan have reportedly said Mauro Icardi will not be sold in the summer.
