Chelsea and City both want Real Madrid star Isco, report claims

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

The Express say an attempt by Chelsea to sign Isco could be hijacked by Manchester City.

It comes after reports in the Spanish press suggested City are looking to sign the Real Madrid playmaker, who the Express has claimed is a Blues transfer target.

Reports in Italy suggest AC Milan remain in the running to sign Axel Witsel, who is also said to be interesting Chelsea.

The Express, picking up on a story in Corrierre dello Sport, claims the Zenit St Petersburg midfielder has been asked not to commit to a deal with Chelsea until August, when Milan may be in a better position to sign him.

There is more speculation surrounding Chelsea’s move for Everton defender John Stones.

Although his club have insisted he is not for sale, The Sun claims Stones is “definitely interested” in a move to Stamford Bridge, while the Daily Express believes Chelsea are prepared to pay up to £34m for his services.

The Guardian claims Chelsea will begin the process to sign Augsburg left-back Adbul Baba Rahman this week by putting in a bid of £14m.

It suggests Rahman, who had been linked with Manchester City and Arsenal, prefers a move to the Premier League and will snub a move to Juventus or Roma.

Chelsea full-back Wallace, who had spells last season with Inter Milan and Vitesse Arnhem, could be off on loan again, the Daily Express suggests.

It claims the 20-year-old Brazilian, who is yet to make his first-team debut, will join newly-promoted Serie A side Carpi.

Blues midfielder Nathan Ake – previously linked to Watford, Newcastle and Leicester – is said to be a target for German clubs Stuttgart and Borussia Moenchengladbach.

The Daily Mail suggests the Dutchman, who ended last season on loan at Watford, may have his number six shirt taken by Stones if the Everton defender signs.
