Door could be open for Cech to join Arsenal in the summer – report

There continues to be speculation over the future of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, with The Telegraph suggesting that he could join Arsenal in the summer.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that there is “no chance” of Cech leaving Stamford Bridge this month despite Arsenal being linked with the 32-year-old along with the likes of Liverpool and Roma.

But it is suggested that he could eventually be left to choose which club he joins if Cech feels his Blues career is over – and this could apparently open the door to a summer bid from the Gunners.

Italian media reports, meanwhile, suggest Roma remain confident they will be able to agree a deal to sign Cech.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi continues to be linked with a possible move to Chelsea.

The Daily Mirror reports that Paris St-Germain are also interested in signing the Argentine.

PSG’s Javier Pastore is quoted as saying: “If Messi was to leave Barcelona then our owners will be on hand to strike a deal.

“Money is not a problem as this club has the resources to buy any number of Lionel Messis.”
