Chelsea among the clubs keen on Benfica star Rodrigo, report claims

Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs interested in Benfica striker Rodrigo, according to the Sunday Mirror.

It is claimed that representatives from Stamford Bridge joined scouts from Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United in watching the 23-year-old in a Europa League win at Dutch club Alkmaar last Thursday.

Rodrigo, who previously had a loan spell at Bolton, is said to be valued at £35m.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Express say Paris St-Germain plan to table a £50m bid for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

Chelsea are again linked with Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, this time by the Daily Star Sunday, who say Livepool, Arsenal and both Manchester clubs all want him.

Liverpool are bidding to beat Chelsea in a £20m chase for Benfica’s Serbian wide-man Lazar Markovic, according to the Sunday People.

The People also claim Chelsea are one of the clubs looking to sign teenage winger Julian Brandt from German club Bayer Leverkusen.

Chelsea are in danger of losing out on the signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid this summer because Monaco are offering a tax-free salary understood to be £150,000 a week, the Mail on Sunday say.

It is also suggested in the Mail that PSG are hoping to sign David Luiz for £38m from Chelsea, who apparently want £35m for Romelu Lukaku.
