Chelsea ready to offer Remy in exchange for Swansea star – report

Chelsea want to sign striker Wilfried Bony from Swansea and are ready to offer Loic Remy in exchange, according to The Sun on Sunday.

It is claimed that Blues forward Didier Drogba will tell the club to sign his fellow Ivorian, who has also been linked with Liverpool and Tottenham.

Chelsea are said to be willing to part with Remy, who has made only one league start since moving to Stamford Bridge from QPR in the summer.

The Sunday Mirror pick up on reports in Spain that Real Sociedad’s former Manchester United boss David Moyes wants to sign Mohamed Salah from Chelsea on loan.

Moyes apparently faces competition from Inter Milan and Besiktas, who are said to be among several clubs keen on the Egyptian winger.

Italian newspaper reports suggest Salah will join Inter if Chelsea sign a replacement.

The Sunday People say Fulham are one of a number of clubs interested in Jamie O’Hara. The former Tottenham and Wolves midfielder is approaching the end of a short-term contract at Blackpool.

And the Daily Star Sunday reports that new signings will no longer have to perform initiation ceremonies after the Professional Footballers’ Association apparently sought to end the practice.

New arrivals at many clubs, including the four west London sides, are told to sing in front of the rest of the squad – usually on their first away trip.

Former Tottenham and Manchester United striker Terry Gibson is quoted as saying: “I don’t blame the PFA for acting over this.

“It’s definitely about time that it was stopped. Who really wants to stand up in front of 30 or 40 of their fellow players and make a fool out of themselves?”
