Bolton reportedly keen to sign Chelsea youngster Ake on loan

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman wants to sign Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake on loan for the rest of the season, according to the Sunday People.

The Dutch defender, who made his senior debut for the Blues last term, has attracted interest from a number of Championship clubs.

His representatives indicated in January that Ake would remain at Chelsea this season as he has been part of the first-team squad for recent matches.

The People also say Atletico Madrid are trying to see off interest in Diego Costa from Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, by convincing him to sign a new deal.

It is claimed the Spanish club are keen to raise the release clause in Costa’s current contract – which runs until 2018 – to £41m.

Liverpool and Arsenal are also reported to be interested in the 25-year-old Brazil-born striker.
