Spurs linked with Moses, Blues linked with Mitrovic, more Austin speculation

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea and QPR…

The Daily Mirror say Tottenham have launched an £8m bid for Chelsea’s Victor Moses.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Stoke, who are keen for him to return to the Britannia Stadium.

But it is claimed that Spurs are looking to sign Moses and that he wants to return to London.

It is also suggested that Chelsea could let him go if they sign Pedro from Barcelona, but that a deal for Moses could be a non-starter because of bad blood between the Blues and Tottenham.

Chelsea lured director of football Frank Arnesen away from north London a decade ago and Spurs refused to allow Luka Modric to move to Stamford Bridge in 2011 before eventually selling him to Real Madrid.

The Daily Star claim Chelsea are ready to hijack Newcastle’s bid to sign Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Chelsea’s Filipe Luis is closing in on a return to Atletico Madrid, with the Blues confident of landing Augsburg left-back Abdul Baba Rahman as his replacement, according to the Mirror.

Media reports in Italy continue to link Chelsea playmaker Oscar with a potential move to Juventus.

And there are yet again reports that Newcastle have made a move for Charlie Austin, despite them having not made a firm approach for the QPR striker this summer.

The Mirror say the Magpies have made a ‘fresh approach’ for Austin but face competition from several clubs.

The Daily Mail, meanwhile, say Newcastle are preparing to offer Rangers the £15m asking price.
