Fernandes praises QPR players for their effort against Man Utd

Tony Fernandes felt QPR’s players showed no lack of effort in their 4-0 defeat against Manchester United.

Rangers, without injured midfielders Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch, were completely outclassed in a one-sided match at Old Trafford.

And chairman Fernandes tweeted: “Thought we showed to much respect for United today. A weakedned midfield today. But time will tell. Stay Hungary stay focused.

“We hit a Hungary United at old Trafford. We will come back. I’m sure Harry saw enough today. To get better.

“Thought players put in lots of effort. On today’s performance many many would have faced same result. Stay confident.”

Meanwhile, former Rangers star David Bardsley felt Barton was sorely missed.

Bardsley tweeted: “Big blue heart needs painting on the arm of each players white shirt and get out and wear it.Expectations, win or loose, miss JB attitude.”
