Slovenian defender Balazic touted for possible QPR move

Gregor Balazic, a Slovenian centre-back currently playing in Ukraine, is being touted for a possible move to QPR.

The 26-year-old’s contract with Karpaty Lviv expires at the end of December. His representatives are trying to secure him a move to London and have been attempting to drum up interest.

He has duly been linked with Rangers and Crystal Palace, with Sky Sports reporting his potential availability ahead of the January transfer window.

Balazic claims he has received offers from several clubs and is quoted as saying: “I don’t know where I will continue my career.

“At the moment the most important thing for me is that I have many offers – not only from England, also from Italy, France and some other countries.

“That, at the moment, is the only thing I can tell you. That and the fact that I will be leaving Karpaty.

“I will stay in Ukraine until 31 December and then I will pack my bags and move to a stronger league.

“I have no worries as there are plenty of offers on my desk.”
