Chelsea eyeing Mings as potential Terry replacement, report claims

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has identified Ipswich defender Tyrone Mings as a potential long-term replacement for Blues skipper John Terry, the Daily Mirror claim.

Manchester United, Everton, Arsenal and Newcastle are also said to be interested in the 21-year-old, who has been playing at left-back.

Mourinho, it is claimed, is keen to bring in an eventual replacement for Terry, 34, in January and has told his scouts to monitor Mings.

Meanwhile, the Daily Express speculate about speculation, suggesting that Chelsea could be interested in Angel Di Maria if there proves to be any truth in rumours that Manchester United might be willing to sell the Argentine.

The Express also claim that Chelsea have been urged to act fast if they are serious about signing Bruma from Galatasary.

Bruma’s agent Marco Kirdemir has commented on reports linking Genoa with the Portuguese winger.

And it is suggested Kirdemir was referring to Chelsea when he said: “We have received an offer from Genoa and a couple more sides in Europe. Galatasaray have not accepted any of these bids.

“If a club wants to sign Bruma they will have to pay the money up front, not in instalments.”

Lastly, the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea duo Willian and Osar and QPRs Adel Taarabt were among five Premier League players who attended the Dolce & Gabbana Christmas Tree Party at Claridge’s in central London
