‘Boro interested’

Tomas Kalas’ agent says Middlesbrough remain interested in the Chelsea defender, Teesside’s Evening Gazette reports.

Kalas, 23, spent last season on loan at Boro and his representative, Mithat Halis, has indicated that the player would welcome a permanent move to the Riverside Stadium.

“Kalas wants to stay in England next season, preferably in the Premier League,” Halis said.

“He is happy at Chelsea, but Middlesbrough are interested.”

Manolas linked again

Meanwhile, reports in Italy continue to suggest that Chelsea want Kostas Manolas.

Arsenal are also reported to be showing an interest in the 25-year-old Roma defender.

And Spanish transfer-gossip website Fichajes.net say Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, who has been linked with Chelsea, is also wanted by Real Madrid.
