Chelsea are monitoring Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal International.

Arsenal are also reported to be showing an interest in the Netherlands international, who it is claimed could be available when the transfer window reopens in January.

Ajax want £12m for Bazoer, it is claimed. The player has been linked with a move to England during previous transfer windows.


Mikel to ‘wait and see’

Comments by John Mikel Obi have added to speculation that the Nigeria international could leave Chelsea in January.

Mikel has reportedly been told he is not in Blues boss Antonio Conte’s plans and can move on.

Clubs in several countries, including China, are said to be interested in signing him.

And he told BBC World Service: “I will keep doing my best and ready for when called up upon. We will see what happens in January.

“I have to keep training hard and make sure I change the manager’s mind. I have been professional, I train and work everyday with the team and I hope one day I will get to play.

“I have written my name in the history of this football club and I have won loads of trophies. I have played close to 400 game and have no single regret.

“I still want to win more and help the team. Players move on in life but I am relaxed about January. I will speak to the club find the best solution.”


United to make Willian move, Star claim

Chelsea star Willian has again been linked with a move to Manchester United, this time by the Daily Star.

Willian was touted as a possible signing for Jose Mourinho when the former Chelsea boss took over as United manager earlier this year.

And the Star say United are planning to table a bid for the Brazilian when the transfer window reopens in January.

Mourinho is said to be a huge fan of Willian and keen to be reunited with him at Old Trafford.

The player has recently been left out of the Chelsea side, prompting speculation about his future.


Duo ready to sign contracts – Telegraph

Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois are ready to sign new contracts at Chelsea, The Telegraph reported on Thursday.

Costa and goalkeeper Courtois have both been linked with potential returns to Spain in recent months.

Former Atletico Madrid striker Costa, and Courtois, who spent three seasons on loan at Atletico, were said to be open to the idea of leaving Stamford Bridge.

But the Telegraph now say the pair are happy under Conte, who has persuaded them that their long-term future should be at Chelsea.
