Blues would rather Cech moved to Italy than Arsenal – report

Arsenal, reportedly interested in Petr Cech, face competition from AC Milan to sign the Chelsea goalkeeper, the Daily Star say.

The Gunners have been linked with a £7m deal for the 32-year-old, who has been tipped to move in January after losing his place to Thibaut Courtois.

But it is claimed that Milan are ready to offer him a move to the San Siro, where he would link up with on-loan Chelsea duo Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel.

It is also suggested that the Blues would rather see him leave for Italy than join one of their London rivals.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that Cesc Fabregas is set to be passed fit for Chelsea’s game at home to West Brom on Saturday along with fellow Spain star Diego Costa.

It was previously reported that the midfielder was facing three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem which saw him withdraw from his country’s squad for games against Belarus and Germany.

The Mail say the duo’s inclusion this weekend would fuel suspicions in Spain over their commitment as they have both been willing to play through the pain barrier for their club.
