Tony Fernandes has told fans on Twitter that manager Harry Redknapp should only be judged once QPR’s injury problems have eased.

Supporters have called for the Rangers chairman to sack Redknapp, with many urging Fernandes to appoint former Stoke and Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis.

There have been questions about Fernandes’ own future plans as well, amid a row over a recent agreement to sell the Caterham Formula One team he controlled.

Rangers, who face Aston Villa at Loftus Road on Monday, have also been in the news because of the public fall-out between Redknapp and Adel Taarabt.

Fernandes tweeted: “Let’s all out players off the injury liat which we haven’t and then judge harry.

“I stand by we have great players . need less politics and get behind harry and players . all players should be unified . Liverpool showed what we made of.”

Asked about his own position, he replied: “Never quit unless someone can do a better job or fans and staff want me to go . a good leader knows when to move on.

“When qpr fans want me to go due to my poor decision making I will go . full stop.

“A good leader knows when to go . time for me to leave at caterham f1 .love qpr and AirAsia but there will come a time .and staff and fans dictate that.”
