Tony Fernandes has told QPR fans on Twitter he briefly stopped commenting on the club because he was “tired of all the abuse” from his critics.

Rangers have lost of their six of their seven matches since chairman Fernandes placed Chris Ramsey in charge of first-team affairs following the departure of Harry Redknapp.

It has left them one off the bottom of the table, four points from safety ahead of Saturday’s trip to face West Brom.

“Still very much in love with QPR. tired of all the abuse so kept quiet . But doesn’t spoil my enthusiasm. Looking forward to tmw game,” Fernandes tweeted.

He added: “Good team tomororw. Only fer missing from what I thiblnk is our best team. Come on your rsssss

“Give your full support to Chris and the boys. They have worked hard.”

Meanwhile, Brentford are celebrating a 4-1 triumph at Fulham in the west London derby.

The victory moved the Bees, who face Nottingham Forest on Monday, back into the play-off places.

Defender Harlee Dean tweeted: “GET IN! Big result! What an atmosphere! Next step Monday!”

And Brentford midfielder Toumani Diagouraga wrote: “Nothing better then doing the double other ur rivals to set up the final 6 games #bees #beelieve.”
