Chelsea Under-21s
The young Blues were beaten 2-1 by Cardiff City in a friendly at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground. Isaiah Brown put the home side ahead before Cardiff hit back with two late goals. Lewis Baker, a substitute for Tuesday’s Capital One Cup win at Shrewsbury, also played.

The Chelsea youngster scored a fine solo goal for England Under-17s as they beat France 3-1 on Thursday. The win secured a place in the next round of the qualifiers for next summer’s European Championship. Charlie Wakefield, also of Chelsea, was an unused substitute.

It has been confirmed that the Capital One Cup quarter-final tie at the iPro Stadium will take place on Tuesday 16 December, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Bees’ academy is offering trials to young goalkeepers and centre-forwards next month. Those born between 1 September 1999 and 31 August 2003 are eligible for the training session at the club’s training ground in Jersey Road, Osterley, on Saturday 29 November.

Wealdstone will host Hendon in a friendly at The Vale on Monday evening, subject to the visitors not being involved in an FA Trophy replay.
