Round-up: QPR signing close, duo set to stay, Canos joins Bees, Chelsea pair move on loan

QPR are close to completing the signing of Italian defender Gabriele Angella from Watford.

West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers were looking to sign Daniel Tozser, whose move went through last week, and Angella.

Centre-back Angella, 26, has now agreed personal terms and is due to have a medical on Tuesday morning.

It promises to be a typically manic transfer deadline day for the R’s, with speculation continuing over the futures of a number of their players.

They are keen to offload some in order to reduce their wage bill but were today unable to agree loan deals for Sandro and Leroy Fer following discussions with AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven respectively.

Meanwhile, Yun Suk-Young has returned to action following a knee problem – he played for QPR’s development side in a game against Crystal Palace.

Two Chelsea youngsters have moved on loan for the rest of the season – Lucas Piazon has joined Reading and Jeremie Boga has joined Rennes.

Fulham have completed the signing of former Tottenham youngster Ryan Fredericks from Bristol City.

And Whites midfielder Ange-Freddy Plumain has joined Paris-based club Red Star on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Brentford have also been busy. The Bees have signed midfielder Sergi Canos, 18, from Liverpool on loan until January and, as expected, finalised the signing of Austria international striker Marco Djuricin, 22, on a season-long loan from Red Bull Salzburg.
