Terry passed fit for Everton game

John Terry has been passed fit for Chelsea’s game against Everton on Saturday.

The skipper has been nursing a muscle strain and has not featured since Chelsea’s recent win at title rivals Manchester City.

But he is back in training and is available for this weekend’s clash, which David Luiz has been ruled out of with his own muscle problem.

Gary Cahill, who picked up a calf injury at West Brom, will be assessed ahead of the match at Stamford Bridge.

Terry’s return is a major boost for manager Jose Mourinho, who said: “He’s a stable player, not a player that makes lots of mistakes.

“Every team, especially one with a lot of young players, needs stability from the back and that stability is something which is keeping us in a good position in the league.”
