John Terry will miss Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth on Saturday but could return against Tottenham on 2 May.

The Blues skipper has been struggling with an Achilles injury and has not played since the 2-2 draw with West Ham five weeks ago.

He will not be fit in time for this weekend’s game with the Cherries, but Chelsea will know by next Thursday if he is ready to play against Spurs on May Bank Holiday Monday.

Eden Hazard, who has been out since the Champions League exit to Paris St-Germain last month, has been named in the squad to face Bournemouth, but may not play the whole game.

Loic Remy is still out with a groin injury and joins long-term absentee Kurt Zouma on the treatment table.
