Sunday Express again claim Conte could quit

The Sunday Express has again claimed that Antonio Conte could quit Chelsea.

There was speculation about Conte’s future in the summer, when it was claimed he was close to leaving his job as Blues boss because he was unhappy with the club’s transfer business.

And the Sunday Express say Conte is now considering quitting Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and returning home to Italy.

The newspaper declares that there have been “deep divisions with Blues top brass” over transfers and that he came close to leaving soon after leading the club to the Premier League title last season.

Conte is under contract until 2019 and the Sunday Express say he has refused to sign a new deal.

The continued speculation over Conte’s future comes after he recently told Italian radio: “Italy is my homeland. I’ll be back. I don’t know when but that’s the aim.”

The Sunday Express claim “it could be much sooner than anyone at Chelsea thinks” and suggest he could take over at Inter or AC Milan.

Conte has repeatedly insisted he intends to see out his contract.
