Six Blues in PFA team of the season

John Terry is one of six Chelsea players named in the Professional Footballers’ Association Premier League Team of the Year.

The Chelsea captain, 34, is joined by fellow defenders Branislav Ivanovic and Gary Cahill, with the other defensive place going to former Blues left-back Ryan Bertrand, now of Southampton.

Midfielders Nemanja Matic and Player of the Year contender Eden Hazard are also included, while 19-goal striker Diego Costa completes the Blues contingent.

Tottenham’s England forward Harry Kane is named up front alongside Costa.

Goalkeeper David De Gea is the only Manchester United player in the 11, with Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez completing the midfield.

Chelsea Ladies have two players in the Women’s Super League team of the year, England striker Eniola Aluko joining South Korea midfielder Ji So-Yun.
