Pato could feature against Watford

Pato has sealed his loan move to Chelsea

Chelsea newcomer Alexandre Pato could make his debut in Wednesday’s Premier League game against Watford, boss Guus Hiddink has said.

The Brazilian striker only joined the Blues at the end of last week and, although Hiddink admits the 26-year-old is not fully fit, he may feature at Vicarage Road.

“The paperwork is done and he is available but it is another thing physically and mentally,” Hiddink said.

“He has hardly done a training session with the team. I don’t know if he is up to the game. We will decide later.”

Hiddink confirmed fellow strikers Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao are still injured, but Willian should be in contention to return to the starting line-up after sustaining a foot injury in the FA Cup win over MK Dons.

Hiddink added: “Willian did not train on Monday but will train on Tuesday and we will see out how his reaction his.

“Remy has an injury on his calf since ten days so he will not be available.”

Defender Matt Miazga, who completed a move from New York Red Bulls at the weekend, is not in the squad.
