Chelsea No signings in January, says Chelsea boss

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has said he does not expect to make new signings in January.

Chelsea have been monitoring a host of players and have been linked with several big-money deals.

But Mourinho claimed he has no plans to add to his squad when the transfer window opens.

He said: “I’m not expecting moves. The market will be open for a month, so you never know what can happen, but I don’t think so.”

Mourinho has been linked with a number of forwards, such as Radamel Falcao, who was previously targeted by Chelsea and is reportedly unsettled at Monaco.

But the Blues boss continues to insist that he is happy with just three out-and-out strikers – Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba – in his squad.
