Mourinho: We believe we can do it

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is upbeat about his team’s chances of overturning a two-goal deficit in tonight’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris St-Germain.

Javier Pastore’s late strike for PSG means the Blues trail 3-1 from the first leg in France, where an away goal scored by Eden Hazard could yet prove to be crucial.

And Mourinho is convinced Chelsea can secure a semi-final place against a side he says are under significant pressure.

He declared: “I believe and my players believe. That’s the most important thing.

“I think if Paris is knocked out it will be a big disappointment for them. If we are knocked out it’s something that lots of people are expecting.

“We have to enjoy the risk of the situation. At 9.30pm we can be out and we know that we have this risk. But at 7.45pm we have the chance to be in the semi-final.

“I think we are going to win, really. In the end of the two legs, I think we are going to score more goals than them.

“In this moment it’s 3-1. I think in the end it can be 4-3 or 5-4.”

Mourinho added that Samuel Eto’o could feature at Stamford Bridge despite the striker nursing a hamstring problem.

Eto’o trained on Monday but did not take part in the main session with the rest of the Chelsea squad and his condition will be assessed ahead of this evening’s game.
