Mourinho unconcerned by Hazard delay

Jose Mourinho has insisted he is unconcerned that Eden Hazard has yet to sign a new contract at Chelsea.

The Belgian playmaker, who has scored 12 goals this season, is widely expected to put pen to paper in the near future and Mourinho suggested some time ago that Hazard was about to re-sign.

And the Blues boss was asked at his pre-match press conference on Friday why it had not yet been announced that Hazard, 24, had committed his long-term future to the club.

“Why should it be official?” Mourinho replied.

“What’s the problem? He has two or three more years [on his contract]. Why should we be in a hurry for that?

“Are we worried? I am not worried.”

Meanwhile, Mourinho has confirmed that Cesc Fabregas has been passed fit to return against Aston Villa after recovering from a hamstring problem.
