Mourinho hoping Chelsea face PSG

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wants the convenience and glamour of facing Paris St Germain in the first knockout round of the Champions League.

Mourinho’s men will find out their opponents when the draw takes place on Monday and can be paired with Juventus, Basel, Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Donetsk or PSG.

But the Portuguese has his eyes on the big-spending French side, who signed David Luiz from the Blues in the close season.

“If I could choose, I would say Paris,” Mourinho said.

“We don’t have a lot to choose because we only have five possibilities but, to make it easy for everybody, Paris.

“It is easy for us to travel, easy for the fans to travel and we don’t spend a lot of money to go there.

“They are a very good team and I prefer a good team that really motivates the boys.”
