Man City trio ruled out of Chelsea clash

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Manchester City v Fulham - Etihad Stadium

Manchester City will be without David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Raheem Sterling when they visit Chelsea on Saturday.

Silva came off with a recurrence of an ankle injury during City’s Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.

Skipper Kompany, who has a calf problem, has not played since the Round of 16 Champions League game with Dynamo Kiev last month.

West London-raised Sterling is recovering well from the groin injury picked up against Manchester United in March which looked like ending his season, but he won’t be fit for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea skipper John Terry and striker Loic Remy are sidelined, while Eden Hazard was described as “on the edge” by boss Guus Hiddink.
