Jose confirms interest in Brazil prospect

Jose Mourinho has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Brazilian teenager Nathan.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is thought to be close to completing a move to Stamford Bridge from Atlético Paranaense for around £4.5m.

Blues boss Mourinho refused to confirm that a deal is imminent, but he added: “He’s a player that our structure has followed and think is a player with potential for the future.

“If a deal is close then I will try to help [Nathan], as I try to help everyone, to become a Chelsea player.”

Nathan attracted interest from a number of European clubs after impressing at the Under-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013.
